As someone who's lived there

If I read one more blogger go on about how "we're all British/Londoners now," I swear. No, you're not. If you were, you'd know that Londoners have more sense on the whole than to go in for all that jingo-ism and wrapping themselves in the flag. They also more than likely won't title this Seven-Seven and sell tacky trinkets and postcards about how these colors don't run and to Never Forget.

It is tragic and affecting what's happened in London. My heart goes out to those affected. Especially after they won the 2012 Games the day previous. I'm fortunate enough to have heard "I'm safe" reports from those I care about there.

But as I've read somewhere, in Baghdad they'd call this Thursday.
